The Future of Mental Health Care

Our speaker is UCLA Professor of Psychiatry Dr. Armen Arevian (MD, PhD).  Dr. Arevian’s research can be broadly described as “participatory informatics” – the intersection of neuroscience, information technology, psychiatry, and community-partnered participatory techniques. He is the developer of Chorus, is a participatory mobile health framework and web application that empowers patients, providers, researchers, and community leaders to create their own personalized mobile health interventions and share them with each other.  Dr. Arevian did his undergrad in Neurobiology at Berkeley and then
his PhD and MD at University of Pittsburg.  With dozens of articles in his career, his research now stands at the center of the future of healthcare in America and will change how you think about the world of healthcare in the 21st century.
